This quote really resonated with me today.......

As a health professional I am continually reminded of  the importance of being an empathetic listener, meeting people where they are and recognizing sometimes people don't know what they don't know. I completely agree with this advice. I really do. Rome wasn't built in a day and there is no point in shoving a round peg in a square hole. Having said that I think we all need to be realistic about our motivations and goals. There is always a season and a reason. Every day we need to be true to ourselves, embrace our choices and give ourselves some grace. Sometimes things are hard. Not fun. Sometimes we can't give our all. No one wakes up and hopes to make a series of really bad decisions. But always... we must take responsibility. And accept the consequences regardless of whether we are interested or committed. No excuses. No blaming. No shame.
